2nd time Finalist for the Founder’s Cup

I’m really excited to share with you that I’ve become a finalist for for The Guild Of Photographers Founder’s Cup, for a second time in three years!

Huge thanks to Gilly Chippendale for letting me photograph the gorgeous Stennerskeugh Smoke! It was a fab afternoon in August photographing with Katie Chippendale.

The Guild is an Association with several thousand members that promotes learning and high standards for photographers everywhere. It runs “The Founders Cup” to acknowledge Roy Doorbar and Ian Gee, who founded the Guild in 1988.

I had to submit 3 images which were connected or themed in some way. A panel of highly respected judges reviewed all the entries and narrowed them down to just 10 finalists.

I’ve now got to prepare the three images into print format, which will be again assessed by another panel of judges in December. I’ve had the kind permission of The Guild to post my three photographs here, as there is no need for anonymity anymore, as judging moves to our print choice.

The overall winner will be announced at an Awards night held in Cheshire in February 2021 where the winner will receive a trophy! (Pandemic permitting).
