Emma Campbell Photography is committed to protecting your privacy and data. This page outlines how I will use the information I collect about you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. It will also explain why I use your personal data, how it’s stored and what rights you have relating to it.
I take your data seriously and have followed advice from the Guild of Photographers (of whom I am a member of) and with the ICO Information Commissioner’s Office, where I am registered, to ensure I follow best practice. I’ll never sell your personal data and will only share it with organisations I work with in order to fulfil a service to you.
I am a sole trader, based in the Lake District, specialising in Equestrian Photography. My income comes from the sale of private photography commissions and through selling my prints via an online store and at events.
Through all the touch points I have with you, I will aim to be clear, as to when I collect data from you. I will only ever collect personal data that I need. I will obtain information from you from our first point of contact, whether that is over the phone, filling a web form on my website or via email. Details such as your name, email address, postcode and telephone number. The data I hold, will vary depending on the relationship I have with you and what I need, in order to fulfil a service to you.

From time to time, I may need to reach out to you and let you know of any up and coming events, news and special offers. This is often done via sending an email or over the phone. Only those who have shown an interest to my work, have been in contact with me, or are clients receive this communication. Within each email, there is always the option to ‘opt-out’ at any time.
I use some selected third Party software in order to provide a service to you.
For storing enquiries and client’s details, as well as allowing me to provide invoices and online contracts, I use Light Blue.
Here your details will be stored, such as name, address, email and phone number. I keep the date of your shoot and any additional details /notes I may need to provide a successful service. For more information on Light Blue’s compliance to GDPR, please click here.
For communicating via email, I use MailChimp. This software will only ever hold your name and email address and no other details. For more information on MailChimp and their compliance to GDPR, please click here.
To process payments, I use PayPal. This software enables clients to pay online with ease. It also enables me to take payment of cards at Shows and Events. For more information on PayPal and their compliance to GDPR, please click here.
To display my website online, I useWordPress CMS system. The website holds an SSL certificate to ensure any data that you provide me in an online form is secure. The website also has a number of plugins to make the site robust against attack. This is monitored on a weekly basis. No personal data is stored on the website’s databases.
For private commissions, all clients are asked to sign a ‘model release’ form. This form is set up to show the clear guidelines of what I can and can’t do with the images I take of you.
If, however I am employed to photograph at a public event, such as a country show, I may do so, under the good will understanding that the show organisers have been proactive, and highlighted to visitors that I will be there and could take your photograph. These images may be displayed openly to the public. However, you can request for any image of yourself to be removed at any time. Please just contact me and let me know.
